“American Idol” alum Scotty Mccreery has announced that he is taking a break from music to go back to school. The teen singer who was victorious in last season’s talent show reportedly plan to return to school later this year.
According to reports, Scotty was trying to balance his studies at high school with his music career, however it proved to be quite a challenge for him.
About swamping out school teachers for professors Scotty said “That’s going to be a whole another monster. But we’re going to figure out a way to do it. It might take me 50 years to get a degree, but I want to get there and go to college.”
In other news about Scotty, it has been announced that his debut CD “Clear as Day” has gone platinum after being released for only three months. It is reported that Scotty’s CD sold over a million copies.
As about how he felt about going platinum Scotty said “Never in a million years did I dream that the album would go platinum in three months, never in a million years did I dream that the album would go platinum. It’s wild! It’s going to take me a few months or years to really wrap my head around it.”
